Tova Rosenberg expertly blends her extensive Suzuki training with a profound passion for early childhood development, crafting innovative teaching methodologies for aspiring cellists and dynamic Early Childhood Music Education programs. With a commitment to fostering musical growth, Tova has successfully developed and led impactful programs in both New York City and Toronto.
For nearly a decade, Tova was the lead instructor for the Early Childhood Music Program at the renowned School for Strings in Manhattan, where she also taught Suzuki cello and music theory. Her teaching portfolio extends to prestigious institutions such as the Diller-Quaile School of Music and the Third Street Music School Settlement. Tova has also served as cello faculty for the Music Institute of Long Island, the Suzuki Program at Brooklyn College and the Summer String Festival at the Elisabeth Morrow School in New Jersey.
A seasoned performer, Tova was a founding member of the TEA trio and continues to maintain an active performance career. She holds a Master’s degree in Music from DePaul University, a Bachelor’s degree in Music from McGill University, and is an alumnus of the School for Strings' Intensive Suzuki Teacher Training Program. Additionally, she is certified in the Mark O’Connor Violin Method.
Since relocating to Toronto in 2011, Tova has been a faculty member at the Etobicoke Suzuki School of Music, the Miles Nadal JCC Suzuki Program, and currently teaches cello at the Royal Conservatory of Music. Tova is the creator and sole teacher of Do Re… ME!, her distinctive music education program. Previously offered at Wychwood Barns' Music in the Barns studio and the Miles Nadal JCC, Tova now brings this program to the Trinity St. Paul’s Centre in the Annex, where she continues her mission to inspire and educate the next generation of musicians.
